Sports Day at Guysfield
Guysfield care home in Letchworth arranged a sports day, which was held in the conservatory, for the residents and care team.
The day kicked off with a warmup and gentle armchair exercise delivered by our chair-based exercise instructor, Agnes. Residents and staff participated in fun filled activities which included: golf, basketball, egg spoon race, dance off and Zimmer frame derby. Home Manager, Pawel Michalewicz, showed participants his football skills, whilst everyone cheered him on.
Residents and the care team cheered on their teams, it was great to see them all up and having a go at the activities, and having a great time.
The catering team prepared for us nutritious snacks and refreshments to keep everyone energized and hydrated. The winners received gold medals, certificates and prizes. Many residents expressed how happy and proud they felt, Barbara said, after completing the Zimmer frame race, "I am so pleased with myself, apparently I did great."
