Sailing away with Horsell Lodge Care Home
The residents and team at Horsell Lodge Care Home enjoyed a nautical themed event at the home which was decorated wonderfully for the day. Messages in bottles washed up on shore which were from the residents families, who shared nautical anecdotes which were a lovely surprise for everyone. They also provided great amusement as the residents and team tried to guess who the story related to.
As well as the decorations a number of games were setup for the residents to get involved in including ping pong water cups, finding the treasure on the map, fishing for ducks, tin can alley and treasure chest memory. The residents' dexterity, concentration, physical ability and maths were put to the test. Well done to Mike, Celia, Keith, Pat, Valerie and Bea who proved their prowess at the helm and walked away with all the booty!
The dip in the ocean was a short but memorable one - thank you as always to the families and the team for your tremendous support.
