Olive celebrates a Century at Brooklyn House

It was a very special day at Brooklyn House in Attleborough last week as resident Olive reached her 100th birthday and celebrated in style.

Surrounded by her family and balloons, she enjoyed a day of relaxing and opening cards and presents in the morning and afternoon tea with her birthday cake and a very special delivery of her telegram and birthday wishes from the Queen.

“Oh, my goodness, it’s from Lizzie,” exclaimed an overwhelmed Olive.

Olive a Norfolk lady, started work at 14 in service. She enjoys reminiscing with all the staff.

“I’ve had a lovely day with all my family”, said Olive. “I couldn’t have asked for a better day with all my family.”

Brooklyn House provides specialist nursing care in a purpose built environment for up to 38 elderly people.
