National Day of Reflection at Blenheim Court

24th March 2021

One year since the first lockdown began and everyone at Blenheim Court Care Home joined the country in solidarity on the National Day of Reflection. The residents and team fell silent at 12 o'clock in memory of all those that have been lost to Covid19.

Residents busied themselves with some arts and crafts to pay tribute to Marie Curie with flower designs being made and used to decorate the home. During this time they also shared beautiful messages of thanks with cards from Hampshire Care Association before another minute's silence at 2pm that was held for those living in care homes.

The team and residents congregated in the Bistro to reflect on their year and there was a reflection board where they could share what they have learned in such a difficult and unprecedented situation. It is clear that the thing that binds us all is love - love for our family and friends, love for our team, love for ourselves and most importantly, love for our residents.

The one thing that everyone is looking forward to is being able to share that sentiment with everyone in person.
