Macmillan Cake Sale a Hit at Hillside Care Home
Residents and staff at Hillside Care Home, hosted a Macmillan cake sale to raise money in support of those affected by cancer.
Our wonderful chef Jude, made an amazing chocolate cake which was auctioned off to the highest bidder. An assortment of other cakes were also available to purchase as part of our cake sale, with all proceeds going towards this wonderful cause.
The home often hosts fundraising activities for charitable organisations and hosting a cake sale is one of the many ways they achieve this. Macmillan coffee mornings and cake sales were also held at a number of other homes across the Caring Homes Group.
We would like to thank everyone that donated and purchased cakes at our little stall. Along with the £12 received from the auctioned chocolate cake and the plates of cakes we sold during the sale, we have raised £74.20.
