Laverstock sings in support of Diabetes awareness

4th December 2013

Laverstock Care Centre in Salisbury celebrated World Diabetes Day by hosting a sing-a-long afternoon for all of the residents.

The purpose built home raised just over £20 through holding a small raffle, which will be donated to Diabetes UK as part of the Caring Homes ‘Charitable Partnership’. The 2013/14 initiative sees each of the 56 care homes across the group working together to raise thousands of pounds for their two chosen charities, Parkinson’s UK and Diabetes UK.

Some diabetic-friendly treats were made especially for the event by Laverstock’s very own chef team and enjoyed by everyone who took part.

Located on the outskirts of Salisbury, Laverstock Care Centre is a purpose-built home providing residential, specialist nursing and dementia care for up to 80 elderly ladies and gentlemen.
