Fine firework-themed fare at Laverstock Care Centre

17th November 2014

There was a host of firework-themed food on offer at Laverstock Care Centre this week thanks to the culinary skills of the staff and residents. The residents tried their hand at some creative cooking to celebrate Bonfire Night, consisting of cheese straws and cornflake cakes topped with popping candy (for an authentic firework effect in the mouth). The results were laid out in reception for everyone to enjoy alongside a cake prepared by the home’s Chef, who also used a few surprise ingredients for the occasion. Situated on the outskirts of Salisbury, Laverstock Care Centre is a purpose-built home that provides residential, nursing and dementia care for up to 80 elderly ladies and gentlemen.
