Doreen receives long service award at Walstead Place

Caring Homes Senior Care Assistant Doreen Knight has just been awarded her Long Service Award at Walstead Place residential care home, in Haywards Heath. Doreen has dedicated 30 years of her life to care for our residents here at Walstead Place.This afternoon we presented Doreen with her Long Service Award and flowers were given to her by one of our residents Angela and Doreen was pleasantly surprised. Doreen has been described by her colleagues as conscientious, kind, committed to our residents and ensures she provides them with the best possible care. She is extremely well liked amongst everyone here, residents, their families and friends. She is an excellent team player and does anything to help anyone.This is not the first time that Doreen has been awarded for her outstanding work. She won the Care Home Worker Award for 2016 and was also given special recognition for her achievements at the Caring Homes Group Recognition Awards for 2017.With no plans to slow down just yet, Doreen is looking forward to continuing her duties at Walstead Place and speaking on behalf of the entire team and all of our residents, we are very pleased to hear it. She is amazing.Walstead Place Care Home in Haywards Heath is a magnificent 19th century country squire’s residence, sensitively converted to provide the highest standard of residential care for up to 43 elderly residents.
