Dementia Friends Sessions at East Hill House
East Hill House Residential Care Home in Liss was approached to give Dementia Friends sessions to two local surgeries, Liphook village surgery and Swan surgery in Petersfield.
We had a great turn out yesterday and today, from receptionists, nurses and GP’s taking the time out of their busy days to attend a session delivered by Charlene Rosewarne, our Home Coordinator.
It really is a subject close to our hearts and fantastic that the two surgeries are now officially dementia Friendly!
We also walked around Swan surgery and looked at the waiting room etc and offered advice on how to make it a more dementia friendly environment, keeping in mind not only those living with an early onset of dementia but also for those with a more advanced or complex dementia.
