Christmas Market at Blenheim Court
Blenheim Court Care Home hosted its first ever Covid Safe Christmas Market event for all the residents to enjoy. Inspired by Christmas Markets across Europe, the team decorated the home and setup stalls for an event to remember. There were a variety of items available from wonderful small businesses across the community that had been sitting in quarantine, ready to be displayed on all the stalls. As well as the stalls the hospitality team had a range of food and drink on offer inkeeping with the theme of the event for the residents to enjoy while they were shopping, including hot chocolate, warm cider, mince pies, panettone and bratwurst.
The team at the home also put a poem together to mark the event:
20 days before Christmas
And throughout Blenheim Court
The Staff had a marvelous and Christmassy thought.
It's been a difficult year,
Away from family and friends,
So what can we do to make amends?
We'll bring Christmas to us!
Like never before!
We'll have a brilliant market.
Our side of the door.
We'll warm ourselves with cider
And shop till we drop!
Covid or no Covid.
This Home does not stop.
