Charity memory walk for Alzheimer's at Mellish House

27th September 2021

Health and Wellbeing Coordinators Chloe and Claire took part in raising awareness for dementia during Dementia Awareness month by taking their own charity memory walk for Alzheimer's Society.

Claire and Chloe walked 21 miles from from Mellish House Care Home in Sudbury, to Melford then to Lavenham and back again dressed in their charity t-shirts and colourful wigs to raise money for this charity which is obviously so close to their hearts. They walked in honour of all our residents at Mellish House.

They are still collecting donations until the end of the month but so far they have raised over £300 pounds! Unfortunately, their tracker died at 17.98 miles but as you can see from the images, they still had a way to go until we were back at Mellish House and when they checked on their maps it said they still had another 3 miles to go. But they made it!
