Brooklyn House in Attleborough, welcomed Attleborough Community Church into the home this week.
Residents enjoyed the start of a regular monthly service as part of their activity schedule. Bill & Jerry said they were delighted to meet everyone at Brooklyn House and hoped the service would be a time for all to reflect and of course sing.
Resident William White said, “I really enjoyed the service. My wife and I used to attend church, it’s nice to still feel part of a community.”
Attleborough Community Church is a growing church which is made up of people from Attleborough and the surrounding towns and villages. They pride themselves on having a big heart for the community, which could definitely be seen.
All of the staff at Brooklyn House also enjoyed the service and said how nice it was to see the residents singing along to the hymns. Bill and Jerry did a great job of getting everybody involved and making it a pleasant experience.
The residents will be able to look forward to seeing Bill, Jerry and the team on a monthly basis and in the meantime can enjoy putting together a list of their most favourite hymns for further services.
Brooklyn House provides specialist nursing care in a purpose built environment for up to 38 elderly people.
