Best Kept Garden of the Year is at Whittington House

Whittington House nursing home, in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, has won the Best Kept Garden title this week at the Caring Homes Group Recognition Awards.With more than 5,500 employees across the group and more than 140 homes and services Whittington House beat off stiff competition to be recognised as having the Best Kept Garden of the Year.The awards were presented at a glittering ceremony hosted at the Grove Hotel in Watford and presented by musician and singer Ronan Keating.Whittington House Nursing Home in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire is a modern, purpose-built home and provides residential, nursing and specialist dementia care for up to 66 people. The home is situated in a residential location and backs onto private woodland. Whittington House was rated Good in the latest CQC inspection which took place in March.Following a review of over 3,000 nominations received from colleagues and people supported for the awards, Whittington House was nominated for its garden.The judges shared the views of one nomination which stated; “The gardens have been transformed in the last few months.
