Welcome to Riverside Place
Ware, Hertfordshire
We're welcoming new residents safely
Our stunning new care home in Ware is built to the latest care standards. Living here is all about luxury, comfort and choice. As soon as you set foot inside Riverside Place, you’ll be impressed by the light, space and quality of the home. There are many different enticing spaces to relax in – from the bistro and orangery on the ground floor, to the quiet lounges dotted around the home. We understand that residents like to continue to look their best, so our hair salon is open regularly for beauty treatments and pamper sessions. Riverside Place is walking distance into Ware town centre, with its priory, gardens and, pubs and museum. We are proud to be Winners ‘Best New Care Home’ in the prestigious Pinders Healthcare Design Awards in 2019.
We're open for admissions, managing visits and routinely testing everyone. New residents can use our designated, safe admission suites and benefit from a personalised wellbeing plan during their initial 14 days. If you’re a little unsure of what type of care is needed, or would like to move in as a couple, we’re happy to help with the details.

The types of care we provide
Living well with Dementia
We are proud to be the only care home group to have our own unique award-winning dementia training ‘My World’ which is accredited by City and Guilds. It highlights the importance of meaningful activities and a stimulating environment for people living with dementia, in addition to addressing clinical aspects of care.
Daily life

Keeping things personal
At Riverside Place
The wonderful surroundings at Riverside Place are matched by the standard of care our team brings residents. We love learning as much as we can about the people we care for, so your loved one’s time is tailored to their individual needs, interests and preferences. This can be as small as knowing when they like to wake up, to how they like their tea, and everything in between.
We give as much independence as possible, letting individuals choose how to run the home and if they prefer dinner in front of the TV, or even dusting their own room, we’ll make it happen. Just as putting their own stamp on their bedroom, we’ll help them to personalise it with the things they love.
Every need catered for
Mealtimes are an important part of daily life at Riverside Place. We know eating well and the social experience of dining are key to health and wellbeing. Our chefs select a different menu each day, creating lots of home-cooked dishes with fresh ingredients to choose from. Using their in-depth knowledge of nutrition, they cater for any special diets and needs.
Keep doing what you love
At Riverside Place, there’s something to tickle everyone’s fancy – from the bistro to the hair salon, our packed schedule of events and activities, to picnics in the gardens. And if residents prefer to spend one-on-one time with a member of the team, they can read the paper, pop to the shops or have coffee and cake. We have strong connections with the Ware community, many of our residents invite them to join in our activities or even run their own here.

Book a respite stay for peace of mind
Over four million older people in the UK say they feel lonely and lack the friendship and support which we all need. Our respite and permanent stays offer the chance to see some new faces and try out some new things with as much or as little support as you need.
During this unprecedented time, many residents have chosen us for peace of mind so they feel safe in the knowledge that care and support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week should they need it, as well as staying connected. Whether you're looking for permanent care or a respite stay, ask us about our latest availability in our homes and the extra things we are doing to keep our residents, families and teams safe.
Teresa Torres
I lead my professional Care Team in delivering the highest level of care and support for our residents.
My commitment to professional development has equipped me well for my role here, where I work hard to ensure that those in my care lead happy and fulfilling lives, whilst maintaining choice over the care and support they receive. I believe in maintaining strong relationships with residents and their relatives, and understand the important contribution that these relationships make to the successful running of a care home.
I feel that the Caring Homes philosophy matches up well with my own beliefs on care provision and I am committed to ensuring that all our residents continue to receive the high levels of care and protection they deserve.
