Keeping things personal
At Knowle Park Nursing Home
The wonderful surroundings at Knowle Park Nursing Home are matched by the standard of care our team brings residents. We love learning as much as we can about the people we care for, so your loved one’s time is tailored to their individual needs, interests and preferences. This can be as small as knowing when they like to wake up, to how they like their tea, and everything in between.
We give as much independence as possible, letting individuals choose how to run the home and if they prefer dinner in front of the TV, or even dusting their own room, we’ll make it happen. Just as putting their own stamp on their bedroom, we’ll help them to personalise it with the things they love.
Every need catered for
Mealtimes are an important part of daily life at Knowle Park Nursing Home. We know eating well and the social experience of dining are key to health and wellbeing. Our chefs select a different menu each day, creating lots of home-cooked dishes with fresh ingredients to choose from. Using their in-depth knowledge of nutrition, they cater for any special diets and needs.
Keep doing what you love
At Knowle Park Nursing Home, there’s something to tickle everyone’s fancy – from arts and crafts to the hair salon, our packed schedule of events and activities, to picnics in the stunning grounds. And if residents prefer to spend one-on-one time with a member of the team, they can read the paper, pop to the shops or have a walk around the parklands. We have strong connections with the Cranleigh community, many of our residents invite them to join in our activities or even run their own here.
You'll be in good company this spring

Book a respite stay for peace of mind
Over four million older people in the UK say they feel lonely and lack the friendship and support which we all need. Our respite and permanent stays offer the chance to see some new faces and try out some new things with as much or as little support as you need.
During this unprecedented time, many residents have chosen us for peace of mind so they feel safe in the knowledge that care and support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week should they need it, as well as staying connected. Whether you're looking for permanent care or a respite stay, ask us about our latest availability in our homes and the extra things we are doing to keep our residents, families and teams safe.
Carol Taylor
As the Home Manager of Knowle Park, I lead a professional team in providing the highest standards of care for up to 41 residents with varying needs.
I have been involved in nursing and healthcare since 1974 when I started working at the local hospital where I lived in Canada after school and at weekends on a Care of the Elderly Ward as a Nursing Assistant. I came to England to start my nursing studies, and qualified first as an Adult Nurse and then as a Sick Children’s Nurse and have worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, GP surgeries and more recently care homes, with my first care home management role in 1996.
It is important to me that the quality of care comes first, our residents are all unique and coming into a care home is the start of a new chapter in their livesit is an opportunity to maintain independence and have new experiences, allowing families to be families again, with us providing the care. Not only am I here for my residents, I am also here to support their relatives and my staff too.
I am passionate about developing and supporting a team of staff who work well together creating a home where everyone feels part of a family. It is important that high standards of care are delivered in a kind and caring manner, with laughter in the home offering a lovely atmosphere.
My four Newfoundland Dogs play a big part in my life and at the weekend can often be seen out and about either walking or swimming with them. I also volunteer for the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society outside of work.
