Latest guidance reviews the need for isolation for non-Hospital admissions
The Government has announced that admissions are of less risk if a person has been appropriately vaccinated and the person is being admitted from their own Home and not from another Care Home or Hospital setting.
Residents may be admitted to a care home from the community without needing to complete a 14-day self-isolation period, if they satisfy the requirements. Ask for details.

Keeping things personal
At Ivy Court
The fantastic location of Ivy Court is matched by the standard of care our team brings residents. We love learning as much as we can about the people we care for, so your loved one’s time is tailored to their individual needs, interests and preferences. This can be as small as knowing when they like to wake up, to how they like their tea, and everything in between.
We give as much independence as possible, letting individuals choose how to run the home and if they prefer dinner in front of the TV, or even dusting their own room, we’ll make it happen. Just as putting their own stamp on their bedroom, we’ll help them to personalise it with the things they love.
Every need catered for
Mealtimes are an important part of daily life at Ivy Court. We know eating well and the social experience of dining are key to health and wellbeing. Our chefs select a different menu each day, creating lots of home-cooked dishes with fresh ingredients to choose from. Using their in-depth knowledge of nutrition, they cater for any special diets and needs.
Keep doing what you love
At Ivy Court, there’s something to tickle everyone’s fancy – from the craft room to the hair salon, our packed schedule of events and activities, to picnics in the lovely garden. And if residents prefer to spend one-on-one time with a member of the team, they can read the paper, pop to the shops or have a pint in the local pub. We have strong connections with the Norwich community, many of our residents invite them to join in our activities or even run their own here.

As the Home Manager I believe our residents should be able to live the life they want and be able to be themselves. I enjoy taking on the responsibilities that come with managing a home and I encourage the inclusion of everyone in the home, to create a friendly environment and a great place for us all to live and work.
I have been a Home Manager for over 15 years and have previously worked in different care settings, including as a nurse at Wellington hospital on the burns and plastics unit, so have gained various skills throughout the care sector.
I operate an open-door policy and am approachable, not only to my team, but to the residents and their relatives too as it is their home. I encourage residents to make their rooms their own, by bringing in personal items to help make it homely for them.
I am passionate about being able to support and develop my team and seeing team members grow in their roles at the home as I work with them to offer the best care possible.
Having been a nurse since the age of 18 I have managed to gather a wealth of knowledge, been able to take on various opportunities but for me the most important thing is that I have and still do enjoy every day of being at work and the support that I can give to my residents.
In my spare time I love having a wander around the shops. I enjoy reading and learning about history, so it’s great for me to be able to hear first-hand some of the residents’ stories from years gone by.
