I lead my professional Care Team in providing the highest standards of residential and nursing care for up to 38 elderly ladies and gentlemen.
As an experienced Registered Nurse, I have gained a wealth of knowledge in the field of elderly care, nursing and dementia care. My career in nursing began in 1976 and has since taken me from being an Enrolled Nurse in a hospital, on to Deputy Matron and then Registered Manager in a Care Home.
Within a number of my roles, I have specialised in the area of rehabilitation; notably working as a Staff Nurse in the National Spinal Injuries Centre in Stoke Mandeville Hospital, and as a Senior Staff Nurse in Amersham Hospital specialising in the rehabilitation of elderly patients.
I’m particularly passionate about training and empowering my staff. Prior to my appointment as Manager, I was the main mentor at Hulcott for student nurses on placement from Bedfordshire University. I myself continue to attend seminars and training to continue my professional development and update my knowledge on current best practice.
Having lived in nearby Waddesdon for over 30 years, I know and love the local area very much. Away from work, I enjoy walking and cycling through the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside. I’m also a sewing enthusiast and keen gardener.
