Daily Life

Keeping things personal

At Gildawood Court

The homely surroundings at Gildawood Court are matched by the standard of care our team brings residents. We love learning as much as we can about the people we care for, so your loved one’s time is tailored to their individual needs, interests and preferences. This can be as small as knowing when they like to wake up, to how they like their tea, and everything in between.

We give as much independence as possible, letting individuals choose how to run the home and if they prefer dinner in front of the TV, or even dusting their own room, we’ll make it happen. Just as putting their own stamp on their bedroom, we’ll help them to personalise it with the things they love.

Keep doing what you love

At Gildawood Court, there’s something to tickle everyone’s fancy – from the craft room to the hair salon or our schedule of events and activities. And if residents prefer to spend one-on-one time with a member of the team, they can read the paper, pop to the shops or have a pint in the local pub. We have strong connections with the Nuneaton community, many of our residents invite them to join in our activities or even run their own here.

Meet the Team

You’ll find the team here are passionate about meeting every individual’s needs, going out of their way to make Gildawood Court a place residents can call their own. Our team includes nurses and carers experienced in all types of care.

Hayley Rix

Home Manager

I first started my career in care in 2005 and have managed various care settings. As a team ensuring our residents receive the best care possible and that their needs and wants are listened to and met is most important.

Emma HIscock

Administrator

I have 35 years’ experience in Administration and Customer Service. I love my job and learn something new every day. Being there for the needs and requirements of the staff, the residents and their families is a huge part of my role. We are a big family here and I feel that is important.

Helen Evans

Receptionist

I have worked at Gildawood Court for 22 years, starting in the care team and becoming receptionist 4 years ago. The most enjoyable aspects of my role are getting to know the residents’ families, both new and existing and being a focal point for our residents and the team.

Sonia Shaik

Health and Wellbeing Co-ordinator

With a medical background and experience of working with older adults with varied mental capacities, I can perceive what it is to be living in their world. This role allows me to plan meaningful activities which are engaging and stimulating at the same time, enabling a holistic approach impacting the overall health and wellbeing of our residents.
