Our care

The home offers a full range of nursing and specialist dementia support, including trial stays, short stay and convalescent care, as well as long-term care.

First and foremost, Denham Manor is our residents’ home and we never lose sight of that. The wellbeing of our residents is central to everything we do. Our highly-skilled and qualified care team treat every person as an individual with their own needs and preferences in a safe and supportive, friendly environment.

Our home is ideal for older people with more substantial and complex care needs such as acquired brain injuries, motor neurone disease and those with a tracheotomy. Denham is also suited for older people who are able to look after their own daily needs without assistance, but who may occasionally require help from a care support worker. All care is individually tailored to the person requiring it, ensuring we are able to deliver the highest quality of care at all times.

Living in My World

Every team member receives our unique ‘Living in My World’ dementia training which is accredited by City and Guilds. It highlights the importance of meaningful activities and a stimulating environment for people living with dementia, as well as addressing clinical aspects of care.

How we ensure the wellbeing of our residents

Our dedicated and passionate Care Team work hard to ensure the needs of our residents are always at the heart of everything we do.

Our residents’ bedrooms and communal areas are all finished to extremely high standards, in keeping with such a prestigious home. This attention to detail and quality extends to our well-tended, beautiful grounds, which are particularly popular with residents during spells of warmer weather. Residents are encouraged to bring important personal possessions to personalise their rooms.

Visiting us

We operate an open visiting policy at Denham Manor, where friends and family may visit at the times which are most convenient for them.

Our accreditation

Our home is fully registered with the Care Quality Commission and Hospitality Assured accreditation. I have a qualified nursing background and have dedicated over 15 years to providing outstanding care. I lead my professional care team in providing the highest standards of person-centred support.

Why choose Denham Manor?

Denham Manor is a stunning country estate that has been sympathetically converted to provide residential and specialist nursing care. Sitting within three acres of striking landscaped grounds in a private residential area, we offer a relaxed and quiet experience in truly historic surroundings to 44 residents.

History and the local area

Our home retains much of its former glory and richness with regards to period features, and is reputed to have been used regularly by Sir Winston Churchill during the Second World War. Denham is a small and quiet village in South Buckinghamshire, located near Uxbridge and the Denham Country Park and Buckinghamshire Golf Club.

Buckinghamshire is famous for its magnificent countryside, including ancient woodlands and meadows. It has more National Trust properties than any other county and is well known as being the setting for much of ITV’s popular Midsomer Murders TV show. The gardens at Denham Manor were also used as the setting for an episode of Doctor Who, and a photo of the show’s star – Second Doctor, Patrick Troughton – is on display in the home.
