Keeping things personal

At Denham Manor

The wonderful surroundings at Denham Manor are matched by the standard of care our team brings residents. We love learning as much as we can about the people we care for, so your loved one’s time is tailored to their individual needs, interests and preferences. This can be as small as knowing when they like to wake up, to how they like their tea, and everything in between.

We give as much independence as possible, letting individuals choose how to run the home and if they prefer dinner in front of the TV, or even dusting their own room, we’ll make it happen. Just as putting their own stamp on their bedroom, we’ll help them to personalise it with the things they love.

Keep doing what you love

At Denham Manor, there’s something to tickle everyone’s fancy – from arts and crafts to the hair salon and our packed schedule of events and activities. If residents prefer to spend one-on-one time with a member of the team, they can read the paper, pop to the shops or have a pint in the local pub. We have strong connections with the Denham community, many of our residents invite them to join in our activities or even run their own here.

Meet the Manager

Claire Watson

I have worked in healthcare for 15 years, starting off my career as a Healthcare Assistant and then qualifying as a Registered Nurse in 2015. I have worked in a variety of specialisms and have a broad knowledge of healthcare, working in a High Dependency Unit dealing with transplant and dialysis patients in a previous role as Ward Sister. I started at Denham Manor in 2019 as Deputy Home Manager and have recently taken on the role as Home Manager following the retirement of my predecessor.

As a Home Manager my responsibility is to keep our residents safe, happy and well looked after. I enjoy the variety and challenges each day brings. I am proud of the fact that Denham Manor provides not only a high-quality standard of care to all our residents, but a nice, homely environment and family feel too. It is not only crucial to our residents, but also to our staff to provide a nice environment to work in.

I love showing potential new residents and their families around the home and try to be open and honest providing as much information as I can, using my solid nursing knowledge. I like to think I make a difference and am proud of the fact I have won several ‘Make a Difference’ awards in the past, as well as becoming a Home Manager at only 38 years of age.

When I joined the team here, I was drawn to how good the home was on paper, and it has met all expectations. I have been inspired to work under the previous Home Manager and am honoured to be continuing her good work at Denham Manor.

I live locally and grew up in the local area. It is a wonderful rural environment, and we are so lucky to have the beautiful grounds we do. I have two cats who I adore and love to socialise with my friends. When possible, I also love to travel.
