Living well with Dementia

It highlights the importance of meaningful activities and a stimulating environment for people living with dementia, in addition to addressing clinical aspects of care.

Keeping things personal

At Deer Park View

The wonderful surroundings at Deer Park View Care Centre are matched by the standard of care our team brings residents. We love learning as much as we can about the people we care for, so your loved one’s time is tailored to their individual needs, interests and preferences. This can be as small as knowing when they like to wake up, to how they like their tea, and everything in between.

We give as much independence as possible, letting individuals choose how to run the home and if they prefer dinner in front of the TV, or even dusting their own room, we’ll make it happen. Just as putting their own stamp on their bedroom, we’ll help them to personalise it with the things they love.

Keep doing what you love

At Deer Park View Care Centre, there’s something to tickle everyone’s fancy – from the craft room to the hair salon, we have a packed schedule of events and activities. And if residents prefer to spend one-on-one time with a member of the team, they can read the paper, pop to the shops or just have a chat. We have strong connections with the local community, our residents invite them to join in our activities or even run their own here.

You'll be in good company this spring

Book a respite stay for peace of mind

Over four million older people in the UK say they feel lonely and lack the friendship and support which we all need. Our respite and permanent stays offer the chance to see some new faces and try out some new things with as much or as little support as you need.

During this unprecedented time, many residents have chosen us for peace of mind so they feel safe in the knowledge that care and support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week should they need it, as well as staying connected. Whether you're looking for permanent care or a respite stay, ask us about our latest availability in our homes and the extra things we are doing to keep our residents, families and teams safe.

Meet the Manager

Isabella Mackenzie

Having worked in healthcare since the age of 17, I have a wealth of experience and qualifications. I was keen to join Caring Homes due to the hands-on style of the senior management team. I have since been recognised with two awards for excellence and have been nominated on three occasions.

I take particular pleasure from using my extensive nursing and managerial knowledge to make a positive difference to the lives of those in my care. I encourage family involvement through a culture of open communication, which has contributed to the excellent reputation that our home has developed in the local area.

I place the wishes of residents at the heart of the care provided at Deer Park View, working closely with my Care Team to develop a personalised care plan with each resident, catering for their specific needs and ensuring that they have choice and control over how their care is delivered.
