Shoe Box Appeal a Big Hit with Salisbury Businesses
Laverstock Care Centre, part of the Caring Homes Group, has been leading the way for festive preparations by delivering Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes to local businesses on behalf of Samaritans Purse.
Alex Oram, Customer Relations Advisor for Laverstock Care Centre, visited businesses in Salisbury delivering shoe boxes and gaining momentum with the local community for Operation Christmas Child – an initiative that was developed in 1990, and has seen 178 million children worldwide benefit from the kindness of strangers.
20 boxes have been distributed, with final delivery to The Entertainer collection point on 22nd November.
Businesses and community groups involved have included: Tidworth & Ludgershall Men’s Shed, Blue Bee, Purple Panda Recruitment, Kids Klobber, Salisbury Radio, Personnel Placements, Marshall Mini & BMW, Simon Ward Photography, Moore (South), Parkwood Gym, Trethowans Solicitors and NFU Mutual.
