New Years Celebrations at Galsworthy

Galsworthy House Nursing Home in Kingston upon Thames celebrated the new year with Smokey Joe.

Smokey Joe brought along his guitar and entertained the care team and residents with an hour of Country and Western music.

Everyone enjoyed a warming sausage, mash and baked beans supper, followed by doughnuts with a cup of hot chocolate and marshmallows for afters.

Residents sang along to “She’ll be coming round the mountain”, “Take me home” and many others whilst Joe strummed away on his guitar. One of our residents, John, wanted to celebrate the New Year with a glass of bubbly which he brought down from his room, many of the residents joined in lifting their glass to say ‘Cheers’ and ‘Happy New Year’! a lovely late afternoon / evening was had by all
