A New Year means party time…

The residents and staff at Mellish House Care Home don’t need an excuse to party and so they saw the New Year in with style!

One of our visiting entertainers Paul Pleasants helped turn our American diner into a disco for the afternoon. Blinds were pulled down and several multi coloured disco balls lit the room with amazing effects.

Activity coordinator Theresa who is also Paul’s wife made balloon hats and animals for the residents – which were very impressive.

The residents welcomed in the New Year by dancing to hits from the 60’s and on-wards, which was followed by a much needed cup of tea & cakes.

Mellish House Care Home is a purpose-built home providing residential care for up to 48 elderly residents living with a form of dementia.
