Macmillan coffee morning at Magna

The residents and care team at Magna Care Centre in Wimborne held their Macmillan coffee morning this week in aid of the fantastic charity.

Having a Coffee Morning is the perfect chance to catch up over a cuppa and a slice of something delicious for a great cause, which is exactly what we did … and more!

It was a fun filled and very green themed morning attended by residents, staff and families from both past and present…even the local MP-Mr. Tomlinson popped by!

Everyone enjoyed a feast of yummy cakes made and donated by Magna Care Centre’s head chef, head house keeper and lovely receptionist. Thank you all!

Residents played a game of green pictionary and dunk the biscuit (like pin the tale on the donkey.) The total raised so far is £180, we are aiming for £200 with a raffle which is continuing until the end of the week.

The Magna nursing home in Wimborne is a stunning Care Centre providing residential and specialist nursing care for up to 63 elderly residents.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
To Whom it may concern,

RE: A message from the CEO and Clinical Director

At Caring Homes we are following the latest Government advice and stopping visitors to all our homes, except for essential visits by healthcare professionals who will be required to adhere to strict protocols.

We understand that this may be very difficult for families but we are clear in our duty to ensure we protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our Residents and Colleagues as our top priority.

We want you to know that you can contact your loved ones through calls, emails, video and social media and we will support our Residents to view any messages you send over. We are confident that the teams in our homes are doing all they can to ensure that life remains as comfortable and sociable as possible. There will be a full programme of activities delivered by our in-house health and wellbeing teams.

We hope you will understand and support these actions and any further subsequent measures we might need to put in place.

Yours sincerely

Paul Jeffery – Chief Executive Officer

Frank Cummins – Clinical Director
