International Womens Day Celebrations at Guysfield

8th March 2021

On the 8th of March Guysfield Residential Home in Letchworth held an afternoon tea party to celebrate International Women Day. International Women's Day is a global holiday to commemorate the cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements of women.

The dining area and tables were decorated in a white and floral theme with fresh flowers on all tables and vintage tea pots. As the ladies arrived dressed in their best, they each received a rose and were able to order from a drinks menu on the table from our very own starlight bar.

The ladies enjoyed a menu of assorted finger sandwiches, scones, strawberries and cream which were served by our Home Manager and Deputy Manger,

To make the day extra special families donated wines and prosecco and chocolates for their loved ones and we were also donated a beautiful cake from Dorothy's homemade cakes, which went down very well with all the residents!
