India Day at Laverstock Care Centre

On Thursday 22nd February, Laverstock nursing home in Salisbury had a themed 'India Day' at our home.Our catering and hospitality team created a special Indian inspired menu for the day with a choice of Beef Tikka Masala or Chicken Korma served with all the trimmings such as poppadoms, onion bhajis, samosas and naan bread.People were also invited to wear traditional Indian clothing. Some members of our team are originally from India and they arrived resplendent in traditional Indian clothing such as saris and as you must agree, looked amazing.They also cooked and brought in a whole range of delicious Indian food for our residents, guests and team to sample.We played Indian music throughout the home during the day and activities to match. Henna hands were designed by residents along with a Bollywood film showing in the afternoon using our big screen cinema.The day was thoroughly enjoyed by all and it created a bright and joyful atmosphere in the home.
