Hawkhill tour Spanish villages

The residents at Hawkhill House in Milltimber enjoyed a tour of a Spanish village this week.Hawkhill House held a cheese and wine tasting session for the residents, this food activity invigorates the senses and memories of residents who are suffering from dementia and other cognitive issues. The activity coordinators and care team started off by encouraging residents to imagine that they were on a tour of a Spanish village and sampling local wines and cheeses. They really enjoyed this and almost everyone had a story to tell. This was followed by a trivia on cheese and wine, what type of wine goes with what type of food, world’s largest producer of cheese ... They all did really well in the trivia.
