Hawkhill House Residents and Team Join Forces for Memory Walk 2023

29th September 2023

The team and residents at Hawkhill House Nursing Home joined forces and took part in a Memory Walk, a remarkable event aimed at raising funds for Alzheimer's Scotland. Their collective efforts resulted in an impressive donation of £295.00.

This noble endeavor carries profound significance in the context of Scotland's ongoing battle with dementia, a condition that currently affects approximately 90,000 individuals in Scotland, representing one of the most pressing health and social care challenges facing the nation.

Walking in the Open Air

On the day of the Memory Walk, the participants played their part in a memorable experience, filled with stunning vistas and the invigorating freshness of the open air. The scenic Deeside Railway line served as our pathway, offering breathtaking views of the picturesque countryside.

More than just a fundraising initiative, the Memory Walk symbolised a profound connection with nature and a symbolic step forward toward a brighter future for those affected by dementia. It highlighted the importance of raising awareness and funds to support individuals and their families facing the challenges of this condition.

In a time when the impact of dementia continues to touch countless lives, the commitment and enthusiasm shown by our team and residents reflect our unwavering dedication to making a difference in the lives of those affected by dementia. It is a testament to the power of collective action and the resilience of the human spirit.

At Hawkhill House Nursing Home we believe in the importance of fostering connections and making a positive impact in the communities we serve. The Memory Walk 2023 is a shining example of our commitment to this cause, and we look forward to continuing our efforts to support Alzheimer's Scotland and those affected by dementia.
