Cheese and Sherry Tasting at The Orchard

At The Orchard Nursing Home in St Albans, our residents and visitors recently enjoyed a Cheese and Sherry Tasting afternoon.

We paired a lovely ten year old sherry and a selection of different cheeses and crackers, mix ‘n’ match style, for everyone to sample whilst listening to some old-time music.

Everyone had a lovely afternoon; there was lots of laughter and chatter about which cheese was their favourite and most people asked for seconds or even thirds/fourths!

In fact, it seemed to be a unanimous decision that that each and every cheese went well with sherry but there were some clear winners.

We have learnt from the mix ‘n’ match cheese pairing, it’s that everyone likes a different combo and as this event provided such a success, we will be hosting another one very soon.  We can’t wait…
