Caring Homes support the Care Workers Charity

Caring Homes Group is delighted to announce support for the Care Workers Charity and membership of the charity’s Supporters Club.

There are nearly two million care workers in the UK, contributing to one of Britain’s largest workforces and caring for some of the most vulnerable people in our society. Early starts, long hours, mentally draining work, it’s all part of the job. But add an injury, illness or other unforeseen circumstance and all too easily things can take their toll, and people can be pushed beyond their financial limits.

The Care Workers Charity supports the welfare needs of current, former and retired care sector workers and they are working towards a time where no caseworkers will ever face financial hardship alone. Their aim is to raise funds, increase awareness and help more care workers, until this vision becomes a reality.

Paul Jeffery, CEO, Caring Homes Group said

“I am delighted that Caring Homes Group has pledged to support the Care Workers Charity as the work which the charity does in supporting current, former and retired care workers is invaluable in the sector.

“The people our colleagues support on a daily basis rely on them to be there and it is reassuring to know that the Care Workers Charity exists to provide help for care workers who may need it.”

Caring Homes Group is made up of Caring Homes (elderly) and Consensus (specialist care). The Colchester based company employs more than 5,500 people across the group and has celebrated more than 23 years of providing high quality private care.
