Care which is as individual as you are

29th May 2020

Caring Homes’ Senior Commissioning Manager Donna Boobyer has been involved with Brook House in Towcester literally since the foundations were laid and is excited at the prospect of the home being open and inviting the first relatives and residents to come and have a look around.

In order to facilitate viewing the home in light of the Covid 19 outbreak, we have worked hard to ensure some visits, virtual tours and telephone consultations can go ahead safely to help you get a look at this stunning new Northamptonshire home and discuss your care needs.

There’s a variety of different care types, all of which are catered for at Brook House

At Brook House all types of care will be catered for so even if a person doesn’t need nursing care now they may in the future. If this happens their care plan can change with their needs but their home at Brook House will stay the same. We appreciate it can be confusing for some people to be really sure what type of care they are looking for now or for the future. Donna and the whole team appreciate that choosing care can be an emotional and confusing time whether it is care for yourself, or for a loved one that you are looking for. They are there to help guide you.

Donna explained, “There’s a variety of different care types, all of which are catered for at Brook House but there are some fundamental differences between them,” continued Donna.

“Residential care is when someone may need help to carry on living independently but require support to enable them to maintain their lifestyle, with as much or as little help as they want or need”.

“Nursing care often involves more personal health-related tasks and the management and administering of any prescribed medicines.”

“We will also be offering care for people living with dementia, something Caring Homes is proud to have a great reputation in the care sector for. We have specialised dementia training for all our teams as well as wellbeing programmes tailored for those living with dementia and award-winning chefs putting together menus to suit everyone.

Whatever the care need required the Nursing and Care team provide 24hr support

“Everyone who comes to live at Brook House is individual and we understand that care needs will be as individual as they are and our nurses and care team provide 24hr support to support the needs of each of our residents and which can easily be added to and changed as time passes and needs change.”
