An inspiring message from the Princess Royal
Caring Homes continues to provide high quality training for colleagues during this difficult time and has this week received an inspiring letter from HRH The Princess Royal, for commitment to learning and development after entering for the Princess Royal Training Awards 2020.
A spokesman for the awards said, “We are clearly living in extraordinary times and facing challenges few of us could ever have imagined. The Princess Royal Training Awards team has been impressed at the effort all our applicants have put in this year. We drew this to the attention of HRH The Princess Royal and she has asked us to share a letter of appreciation with you.”
In the letter HRH The Princess Royal writes, “Skills are fundamental in so many different ways, and we will be increasingly dependent on skills to rebuild our society and economy at local, national and international levels. It is clear that you will be well prepared to play your part.”
Commenting on the entries for this year, which focus on Caring Homes’ Chef Development Programme and the OSCE Nurse Development Programme, Liz Willis, Director of Learning and Organisational Development, said: ‘“Last month we made two entries into the Princess Royal Training Awards for 2020 – an award that recognises companies investing in their people. While we wait to hear if we are fortunate to progress to the next stage of the process, all entrants received an inspiring letter form Anne, The Princess Royal. A wonderful gesture in these uncertain and challenging times.”

Caring Homes are already part of a Community of Excellence made up of over 100 employers, being recognised by the Princess Royal Training Awards in 2018 in relation to the Future Leaders Programme which upskills managers and both meets and exceeds industry criteria. The company also received one of the first Princess Royal Training Awards back in 2016 with its ‘My World’ Dementia Training Programme.
