Book a respite stay for peace of mind

We understand how difficult it can be for families or friends to take a break from providing ongoing care to accomplish all those essential Christmas jobs.

Whether you need time to finalise gift buying and wrapping or a complete break to focus on yourself and other family members, we can help.

Our all-inclusive festive breaks offer something for everyone, in a place where you will always feel at home and a range of festive activities to get involved in. Enjoy carols around the tree or mince pies and mulled wine, while making new friends.

Residents may be admitted to a care home from the community without needing to complete a 14-day self-isolation period, if they satisfy the requirements. Please ask for details.

Families we’re helping

Keeping things personal

At Galsworthy House

The wonderful surroundings at Galsworthy House Nursing Home are matched by the standard of care our team brings residents. We love learning as much as we can about the people we care for, so your loved one’s time is tailored to their individual needs, interests and preferences. This can be as small as knowing when they like to wake up, to how they like their tea, and everything in between.

We give as much independence as possible, letting individuals choose how to run the home and if they prefer dinner in front of the TV, or even dusting their own room, we’ll make it happen. Just as putting their own stamp on their bedroom, we’ll help them to personalise it with the things they love.

Every need catered for

Mealtimes are an important part of daily life at Galsworthy House Nursing Home. We know eating well and the social experience of dining are key to health and wellbeing. Our chefs select a different menu each day, creating lots of home-cooked dishes with fresh ingredients to choose from. Using their in-depth knowledge of nutrition, they cater for any special diets and needs. Whether you're a three-meals-a-day person or prefer to eat little and often, our menus and snack options provide complete flexibility, view our sample menu below.

Keep doing what you love

At Galsworthy House Nursing Home, there’s something to tickle everyone’s fancy – from the craft room to the hair salon, our packed schedule of events and activities, to picnics in the grounds. And if residents prefer to spend one-on-one time with a member of the team, they can read the paper, pop to the shops or have a pint in the local pub. We have strong connections with the Kingston upon Thames community, many of our residents invite them to join in our activities or even run their own here.

You’ll find the team here are passionate about meeting every individual’s needs, going out of their way to make Galsworthy House Nursing Home a place residents can call their own. Our team includes nurses and carers experienced in all types of care.

Eva Trochim

Home Manager

I have spent the last 20 years of my career in the care sector from Care Assistant to Home Manager. It is my responsibility to ensure that our residents receive the best care possible with a team that works together to make the home the best it can be.

Pam Jeffels

Customer Relations Advisor

I enjoy being able to help families choose a care home for their loved ones by building trust with them and am very proud to show them around our home. It is important to have a good relationship with the residents and staff to present the home in its full glory.
