We are delighted to have reopened the North Wing at our home which has been beautifully refurbished following a fire at the home last Summer.

Some of the Forth Bay team are still working at Glenbervie where some of our residents will continue to live until the rebuild of the South Wing has been completed.

The progress made to date and this milestone of the first residents moving back in has been made possible because of everyone’s focus, commitment and dedication as well as fantastic support from other agencies and the local community.

Plans to rebuild the South Wing, include the installation of wireless access points across the home to provide internet access in all areas and enable use of the latest technology, including a new nurse call system.

Amongst other improvements our residents will benefit from modern new servery areas, the installation of the latest assisted baths on each floor, and general upgrades to bath/wet rooms with the addition of new flooring and furnishings throughout.

Our commitment to care

At Forth Bay we have an excellent local reputation and we strive to maintain a friendly, happy atmosphere. Our highly trained care team and dedicated Activities Coordinator work with each individual we care for, along with their loved ones, to create individual care plans with the aim of enabling residents to get the very most from life.

Our home offers a full range of nursing and dementia care support, including trial stays, short stay and convalescent care, as well as long-term care. Residents are encouraged to bring important personal possessions to personalise their rooms and to really make them their own.

Manager's Profile

I joined Forth Bay as a newly qualified Staff Nurse in 2001 and took on a number of senior roles, including Charge Nurse in 2003 and Deputy Manager in 2006, before eventually becoming the Home Manager.

This in-depth knowledge of the home helped me prepare for my role as Home Manager and I am working hard to ensure that those in my care continue to lead happy and fulfilling lives, whilst maintaining choice over the care and support they receive. I strive to give our residents the care and lifestyle they wish to have, and endeavour to involve them in every aspect of their care.

As well as spending time with residents and making sure that they are comfortable, safe and happy, I see it as an important part of my role to act as a mentor to my Care Team. I firmly believe that a happy, fulfilled and motivated Team will be able to deliver consistently high standards of care.

I enjoy a range of hobbies outside of work, including arts and crafts. Having lived in the region for over 30 years, I love nothing more than taking in the picturesque local scenery whilst walking my beloved dog.
