Key Information

We make sure each resident experiences care that's as unique as they are. Which is why we offer a range of care types and duration for individuals or couples.

You'll be in good company this autumn

Book a respite stay for peace of mind

Our short respite stays can provide a crucial break for carers to do daily chores, go on holiday or simply have some well-earned time off whilst residents often enjoy the chance to meet new people and try out new activities.

If your loved one has spent time in hospital as a result of a fall, an operation or a major illness, convalescent care provides care and support to help them feel like themselves again.

Residents may be admitted to a care home from the community without needing to complete a 14-day self-isolation period, if they satisfy the requirements. Please ask for details.

Keeping things personal

At Ferfoot

The surroundings at Ferfoot Care Home are matched by the standard of care our team brings residents. We love learning as much as we can about the people we care for, so your loved one’s time is tailored to their individual needs, interests and preferences. This can be as small as knowing when they like to wake up, to how they like their tea, and everything in between.

We give as much independence as possible, letting individuals choose how to run the home and if they prefer dinner in front of the TV, or even dusting their own room, we’ll make it happen. Just as putting their own stamp on their bedroom, we’ll help them to personalise it with the things they love.

Keep doing what you love

At Ferfoot Care Home there’s something for everyone to get involved in – from arts and craft to the hair salon and our packed schedule of events and activities. And if residents prefer to spend one-on-one time with a member of the team, they can read the paper, pop to the shops or enjoy a chat over a cup of tea. We have strong connections with the Chippenham community, many of our residents invite them to join in our activities or even run their own here.

Meet the Manager

Tracey Jepson

I’m a qualified Mental Health Nurse and previously spent 17 years working in Forensic Nursing. After which I went on to become the Hospital Director of Hart’s Leap Hospital for four years, which was my first role with Caring Homes. I then became the Home Manager of four of our sister homes, Dormy House, Kingsclear, Moorlands and Frethey House, before starting my role as Care Home Manager for Ferfoot.

My role is to provide effective leadership in the home, protecting the safety and rights of our residents. I’m also here to support our Care Team, making sure they have access to the training and development opportunities they need to deliver the best standards of care possible. I enjoy striving towards making our home the best it can be, and am always pleased to seeing improvements coming together. I love getting to know residents and relatives, and building strong relationships is important to me. Ensuring our residents receive the best quality care we can provide, and being responsible for that is probably what I enjoy most about my job.

My strong leadership experience is one of the key things I bring to the home and I always do everything I can to improve engagement with residents, relatives and my Care Team. I ran a very successful and highly regarded hospital when I first joined Caring Homes, and went on to achieve a good CQC rating shortly after I became the manager at both Dormy House and Moorlands – these are probably my biggest career achievements so far. My biggest personal achievements include raising my son and travelling to see the world and I’m a huge fan of Take That so I love to attend their shows.
