We provide a full range of care packages – including trial stays, short-stay and convalescent care, as well as long-term care. We always encourage our residents to bring important personal possessions to personalise their rooms, and to make the space their own.

Our Care Team always remembers that, first and foremost, Beaumont Villa is our residents’ home. We strive to provide a welcoming atmosphere in the home at all times, and we offer a broad range of stimulating activities tailored to meet every resident’s individual needs.

At Beaumont Villa we are equipped to provide residential support for elderly people living with different types of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia and Korsakoff’s syndrome.

Specialist design

Our residents’ bedrooms and communal areas are beautifully appointed, using Stirling University’s guidelines for dementia care provision, ensuring that all our rooms are light and spacious. Our home has been designed specifically to help minimise confusion or distraction, and to aid orientation for our residents.

The Stirling model is widely accepted as best practice and ensures that residents are able to move freely around the home, with bedrooms and communal areas appropriately laid out and clearly signposted.

Each bedroom in Beaumont Villa has a memory box by the front door, where mementos from residents’ lives help to personalise their rooms, reminding visitors and our Care Team of each resident’s unique life story.

Manager's Profile

Care of the Elderly was a passion of mine right from the start and has been my focus for over 30 years. I began my nursing career in 1986 in Jersey qualifying as an RGN nurse in 1989.

Following qualification, I gained 10 years’ experience nursing in Europe, mainly in France and Italy where I specialised as a Clinical Nurse trainer and quality auditor for a global elderly care company, ensuring staff were trained to the highest levels and residents were cared for to the highest standards, before returning to the UK and finally Jersey.

My professional development and further qualifications have concentrated on elderly palliative care, dementia, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and grief and bereavement counselling. For the last 20 years I have gained invaluable experience in the roles of Unit Manager, to Deputy Manager posts and finally Home Manager.

I enjoy all aspects of my work including the daily challenges working closely with many professionals to achieve a happy home environment where our residents can enjoy a peaceful and person centred retirement. Specialising in Dementia has led to the completion of my master’s degree in Dementia, and full involvement of training and supporting staff in the Caring Homes bespoke City and Guilds accredited “Living in my World” dementia training.

I lead by example to ensure the teams are encouraged, supported and valued, so all aspects of care can be maintained to the highest standards in accordance to caring homes philosophy.
