A Trip Down Memory Lane at ‘Yesterday’s World’

As part of their regular minibus trips, residents from Heffle Court recently took a trip to the historical, picturesque village of Battle in East Sussex.

During the visit the group went along to a museum called “Yesterdays World”. It was packed full of superb displays of vintage and retro memorabilia dating from the 18th Century right up to the 1970s. The residents also enjoyed strolling along the realistic cobbled streets and taking in the distinctive and authentic shops, family rooms and cinemas from years gone by. The residents enjoyed reminiscing with each other about the past and sharing their own stories and memories.

Located in the East Sussex market town of Heathfield, Heffle Court is a purpose-built care home providing specialist care for 32 elderly residents living with a form of dementia.

The home offers a range of care provision from residential to nursing care depending upon the needs of the individual. Heffle Court has an excellent reputation amongst residents, families and care professionals for the quality of care provided. The home focuses on therapeutic activities based on residents’ life experience and even has a smallholding, Willow Farm and teashop.
