Cedar House residents have welcomed a new addition to their home – a budgie named Josie. Josie has brought much enjoyment to the home since she moved in but aside from her singing and chirping, she is helping resident Jack come to terms with the loss of his wife after she sadly passed away recently. Jack’s wife did not live at Cedar House, so when she passed away Josie was in need of a new home and it was quickly decided that she could move in with Jack. Jack has since been nicknamed ‘the Birdman of Cedar House’ and Josie has definitely settled in to her new surroundings well, enjoying all of the attention she has been receiving. Located in the quiet village of Yelverton, Cedar House retirement home provides nursing care for up to 24 elderly people.
