You shall go to the wedding! ….

At Coxhill Manor care home in Woking we understand the importance of family and keeping in contact.

Resident Sheelagh Macpherson’s granddaughter Caroline got married in April.  It was the first of Sheelagh’s grandchildren to get married so a very meaningful day for her, but as the wedding was in Devon Sheelagh was sadly unable to attend.  However with the help of her family and the Power of Skype – we made sure Sheelagh was connected to her family on this special day!

Our receptionist Maggie ensured the Skype link was all set up and working before Sheelagh and her sister in law Jean sat down with a glass of a wine to enjoy being part of the wedding preparations!   Sheelagh got to see her granddaughter in her wedding dress, had a peek around the church and the reception, and was able to toast the beautiful bride!

Sheelagh said “I had got used to the idea of missing the wedding but being able to see it on Skype was truly wonderful.  I would like to thank Alan for making this possible and to Maggie for coming in on a Saturday and making it happen.”

It was our privilege to help Sheelagh be a part her granddaughter’s day – and hope they both enjoy the treasured memories.

And many Congratulations to the Happy Couple – Caroline and Tudor – from all at Coxhill Manor !

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
To Whom it may concern,

RE: A message from the CEO and Clinical Director

At Caring Homes we are following the latest Government advice and stopping visitors to all our homes, except for essential visits by healthcare professionals who will be required to adhere to strict protocols.

We understand that this may be very difficult for families but we are clear in our duty to ensure we protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our Residents and Colleagues as our top priority.

We want you to know that you can contact your loved ones through calls, emails, video and social media and we will support our Residents to view any messages you send over. We are confident that the teams in our homes are doing all they can to ensure that life remains as comfortable and sociable as possible. There will be a full programme of activities delivered by our in-house health and wellbeing teams.

We hope you will understand and support these actions and any further subsequent measures we might need to put in place.

Yours sincerely
