Weston Green Prep School Carols

The Christmas spirit was definitely in evidence at the Home of Compassion when pupils from Weston Green School choir visited us.

After last year’s superb performance, the residents had high expectations.

Harmonies, rounds and a stunning solo were the order of the day.  A melodic mix of modern and traditional songs and hymns were offered for our enjoyment.

We particularly loved an old favourite with a twist – who thought that Three Wisemen featuring the Star of Wonder, sang to the tune of 3 blind mice could include a captivating rap that had many of us giggling in the audience?

As well as raising our voices in unison to Hark the Herald Angels Sing, we were armed with bells to join enthusiastically to Jingle Bells before the finale of We Wish You A Merry Christmas.

Afterwards the children were treated to biscuits and squash and chatted with our appreciative audience.
