West Earlham Infant School at Ivy Court

West Earlham infant school visited Ivy Court this week to sing songs and read stories that they had been learning in class to the residents. The school had previously visited the home just before Christmas when they kindly asked the residents what new songs they should learn for the next time so they could share them. The children went away and practiced these new songs, returning this afternoon to share them with the home. The children also brought along some books from their school library to read to the residents, they each picked a book and read it with a resident, which provided lots of conversation between residents and children about the stories.

The residents really enjoyed seeing the children again, some of whom recognised the residents and went over to say hello. Staff have been considering when the children can next visit and thought it would be lovely to go into the gardens together and do some gardening, teaching the children about the different types of flowers and plants which should be really nice now the weather is getting better.

Everyone at Ivy Court would like to thank West Earlham infant school for visiting again!
