Welcome to the jungle at Kippington

The residents at Kippington prepared for Chinese New year this week by making these Cheeky Monkey hanging novelties as 2016 is ‘The Year of the Monkey’.

The craft session was set up for the residents to ensure everyone was catered for. They enjoyed cutting out shapes and sticking them together with glue. These simple crafts provide the residents at Kippington with a way to help stimulate their minds and get them to join in with each other.

Loads of monkeys have been hung around the home, they keep popping up in the most unexpected places!

The residents discussed between themselves the year and month they were born whilst we checked the Chinese year they each fell into. We enjoyed deciding if we each had the personality traits that the Chinese calendar said we should have.  Do you?

Happy New Year!
