Visit to Notcutts

On Thursday 19th November the Ivy Court residents visited the local Notcutts, for a garden centred experience! Upon arrival we strolled through the gnomes, shrubs and flowers looking for potential ideas for our garden back at the home. Being a windy November, next we decided it was time to warm up in the coffee shop!

Some cappuccinos, carrot cake, chocolate cake and good company later we decided to explore the magical Christmas room. The ladies were fascinated by all the lights and sparkly bits. We looked at traditional items such as advent candles and snow globes, through to the dancing snowman and the twinkling birds. Each of us gathering ideas on what we can do to decorate the home, and starting to think about the presents we need to start collecting.

We then grabbed some garlic and daffodils to sow over the winter, and looked for some ideas for our bird boxes. On the way out, we looked at all the different orchids, and picked up a leaflet so we can decide on our favourite types ready for the next shopping trip.
