Tropical Wings is just the ticket for Bradbury House residents

The residents of Bradbury House enjoyed a wonderful day out at the Tropical Wings Zoo this week in South Woodham Ferrers.

They started their visit off with a tour of the Tropical House where hundreds of free flying butterflies were amongst the many tropical plants and foliage.

They then enjoyed a walk around Bird World and saw the many species they have at the zoo, including a talking parrot that kept everyone amused. They also had a close encounter with a ring-tailed coati which some of our residents were able to stroke and pet before making their way along Wallaby Walk.

Following a picnic lunch, they ended their trip by watching a display of hunting birds, which was enjoyed by Jim Hickman in particular, saying ‘We had a wonderful day – it was just brilliant.’
Situated at the heart of the historic town of Braintree, Bradbury House was the very first home in the Caring Homes family and enjoys an enviable reputation for delivering the very highest standard of residential care in a homely environment for up to 21 elderly people.
