Tree of Thanks by Latham Lodge

11th May 2020

Coronavirus or Covid 19 as we called it, hit the entire UK in March 2020 and we found ourselves in extremely unprecedented times and in lockdown.

As a country, we had no experience of what was to come and how we were going to get through daily life. Ann from Latham Lodge utilised her creativity skills and along with other staff and residents the ‘Tree of Thanks was grown.'.

The stem of the tree embodies the main messages of thanks, which are then followed with butterflies to emulate branches. These branches have notes written upon them thanking all support systems during this unpleasant time, from carers to delivery drivers.

The personal message stated ‘ Sometimes we forget to Thank the people that make our life so happy in so many ways. Sometimes we forget to tell them how much we appreciate them for being an important part of our life, So thank you all of you, just for being here for us ‘

What a wonderful and sincere message Latham created for all to see now and in the future.
