The DeVyne Singers at Coxhill Manor

Coxhill Manor residents were thrilled to welcome the DeVyne Singers when they came to entertain us here at our home in Chobham, Surrey.

The Devyne Singers are a group of retired ladies and gents who got together to form their own choir.

They regularly visit care homes in the local area and present a medley of well known songs that we can all sing-a-long to. They perform as a whole group with the odd solo and duet thrown in too and they don’t fail to add a pinch of humour too!

What’s amazing about the Devyne Singers is that they are so personable, connect so well with our residents, and encourage participation. They aren’t professional singers and they don’t charge for their entertainment. They are doing it simply because they love it and want to make a difference, and that shines through their performance.

Lots of smiling faces among our residents and lots of singing a long too. The feel good factor was definitely in the air!

When the singing is over, the choir stay and chat to us all and enjoy coffee and cake. As the singers are all local to Chobham its not unusual that they may know one or two of the residents and they take the opportunity to have a catch up.
