Tall Trees supports ‘Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning’

Tall Trees were delighted to host a ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning‘ at our care home in Shipton-under-Wychwood, Oxfordshire today.

This event is run by Macmillan and is their biggest fundraising event for people dealing with cancer.

When: 30th September at 10am

Where: Tall Trees, Burford Road, Shipton under Wychwood
Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire OX7 6DB

Our residents, friends, families and our in house Chef helped bake a selection of mouth-watering cakes and pastries for all of us to enjoy. We started yesterday afternoon baking cupcakes for this morning and all our residents and team were eagerly looking forward to it.

We all gathered together (residents, team and relatives) in the morning to enjoy and savour all the cakes we baked and of course have a nice cup of coffee.

We also had fun playing “Guess how many spots are on the cake”. Lisa, our Administrator was the lucky winner and guessed the closest number.

We are very happy that we could help and we are glad to say that our efforts raised £47.29 and all of us at Tall Trees are proud to be supporting a worthwhile organisation such as Macmillan.

People all over the UK will be hosting their own coffee mornings and funds from our event will be donated with great pride from all who participated so they may continue their great work providing practical, medical and financial support and push for better cancer care.
