Tall Trees Garden Centre Visit

At least once a week, residents at Tall Trees are treated to an outside activity (weather permitting) and we try to take our residents out on a trip whenever possible.

Last week, following suggestions from our residents, we decided to go to Burford Garden Centre as the weather was so lovely for a day out.

It was a gloriously sunny afternoon and lots of people were there viewing the centre and the wonderful displays on show. When we got there, we started off with a cup of coffee and a piece of cake in the café which everybody enjoyed, especially the cake.

We then did a tour around the site and looked at various things from onion to overcoats which sparked off lots of discussions. It was a very happy and relaxing afternoon.

The residents also enjoyed looking at the garden furniture because they were allowed to sit on it if they wished and have a short break.

The journey there and back in our minibus was also great fun, from planning what they were going to see, to chatting about their favourite plants, etc.

All in all, it was a great day; the scenery was outstanding, the weather was glorious and they all enjoyed getting out into the fresh air.
