State of the art new care home opens in Oxfordshire

Caring Homes is delighted to announce the opening of our newest home in the heart of the Chilterns. Abbeycrest Care Centre, in Sonning Common, will provide the very highest standards of residential, nursing and dementia care for up to 70 elderly people. Abbeycrest opens its doors on the 8th August and all are welcome to visit

Abbeycrest Care Centre is the successor to the original care home of the same name in Sonning Common. Abbeycrest’s dedicated and established staff team, led by Manager Fiona Eccles, have an excellent reputation for care and are delighted to be moving to their new home.

The new Abbeycrest has been purpose designed to provide bespoke care in an environment that reflects an attractive blend of the contemporary and the traditional, creating a real ‘home from home’ atmosphere. Abbeycrest offers a unique care pathway, with residential, nursing and dedicated dementia care in one location, ensuring that residents can relax in the knowledge that their care needs will continue to be met now and in the future.

Abbeycrest is part of the Caring Homes Group, which is renowned for providing outstanding care in the highest quality environments. Caring Homes is the only national care provider to have achieved Hospitality Assured accreditation, an award usually associated with the finest hotels.

Caring Homes’ philosophy is that a move into a care home should be a positive one, and that a wide variety of activities and social opportunities are essential to a person’s quality of life and fulfilment.
